Un mensaje de nuestro Pastor / A Message from our Pastor
Nos ha tocado vivir en el siglo XXI, uno lleno de cambios inesperados, de cambios necesarios y a veces hasta cambios que retan nuestro entendimiento, convicciones y nuestra fe. Vivimos hoy en un mundo donde existen muchos puntos de vista diferentes sobre política, la sociedad y sobre asuntos de la fe. Si notó no use la palabra religión, no porque no quisiera sino porque siento que al utilizarla se queda corta en describir lo que una vida de fe, de esperanza y llena del amor de Dios es y debe ser en nuestro mundo de hoy.
Como cristianos y aún la iglesia como institución en ocasiones hemos estado tan concentrados en como nuestros “logos” y diseños corporativos que se adaptan al mundo de hoy, que a veces como que pasamos por alto el impacto que sigue teniendo nuestro compromiso con Dios en la realidad que vivimos. Como sería nuestra comunidad si borramos los nombres y “logos” de nuestras denominaciones y solo un letrero que diga Iglesia. Nos convertiría eso en gente de un evangelio genérico o de un evangelio más comunitario.
Ya es hora que nos afirmemos en nuestra fe, una fe sana, viva y transformadora no una que se conforma al siglo XXI, pero una que nos llama a la acción, que comparte amor y que se convierte en parte real de la vida del día de hoy. Romanos 12:2 de la versión Reina-Valera 1960 (RVR1960) nos dice: “2 No os conforméis a este siglo, sino transformaos por medio de la renovación de vuestro entendimiento, para que comprobéis cuál sea la buena voluntad de Dios, agradable y perfecta”.
Transfórmese como nos exhorta la carta a los Romanos y podamos vivir en el siglo XXI, pero de acuerdo a la voluntad de Dios agradable y perfecta.

We live in the twenty-first century, one full of unexpected changes, of necessary changes and sometimes even changes that challenge our understanding, convictions and our faith. We live today in a world where there are many different points of view about politics, society and on matters of faith. I am not going to use the word religion, not because I just don’t want to, but because I feel that when using it, it falls short in describing, what a life of faith, hope and filled with the love of God is, and must be in our world today.
As Christians and even the church as an institution, on occasions we have been so concentrated in our "logos" and corporate designs and how those adapt to the world of today, and at times it’s like we overlook the impact of our commitment to God in the reality we live in. How our communities will look like if we deleted the names and "logos" of our denominations and other signs only read church. Would that turns us in believers of a generic gospel or a more community oriented gospel.

It’s time that we affirm our faith, to a healthy, live, and transformative one, and not to one that just conforms itself to the twenty-first century, but one that calls us to action, to share love and becomes a real part of our lives today. Romans 12:2 reads: "2 do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good will of God, pleasant and perfect".
Transform as the letter to the Romans urge us and live in the twenty-first century, but according to the will of God pleasant and perfect.
